wifi connectivity

Just wondering if anyone else out here is having issues switching between wifi and 4g simultaneously. When wifi is connected, I can send pics and my 4g will activate seamlessly. However, it is cranky at times and apps or internet do not work properly, even slacker radio app doesn't always work when wifi is connected....any suggestions??? other than crying to VZW (who could give a crap) as always..
