Hi, guys. My WiFi keeps disconnecting while my screen is off. As soon as I wake my screen up, it turns back on and reconnects. I do not have any smart actions or apps installed for this action to take effect. Any ideas?

I just noticed this in the last few days as well. It's not a big issue but i remember wi-fi asleep when screen is off being an option in the settings menu for the Gnex. I've looked through the settings numerous time and I just can't find it. I'm going to look again and if i find anything I'll post back.

Go under wi-fi then hit the menu key for advanced settings. then you will see an option to keep wi-fi on during sleep. I just changed it and the problem is gone.

I had a similar problem with my Maxx loosing connection while on wifi at home. I just got the phone on the 28th and after the ICS upgrade a couple days later I noticed when I was at home I would not get email on the phone and the clock widget would stop the time not to long after I got home. It should be noted that it is not set to drop connection after inactivity and I do not have any smart actions set.

After several days of this and several calls to Verizon for assistance without resolution I noticed that when I was at home the little wifi indicator bars were all white, but when I was at work they would be blue. All white seems to mean you are connected to a wifi but there is no data connection.

When I moved a couple months ago At&t gave me a new router/ DSL modem in one unit, I believe it’s made by Netgear. No problems with any of my other devices connecting (2 laptops, previous phone was a BlackBerry). Pulled out my 8 year old Belkin router, plugged it in to my new router and connected the Maxx to that. Blue bars again but now I have 2 home wifi networks. Verizon still has no explanation, anyone else notice an issue with ICS and Netgear routers?

Interesting. I haven't updated to ICS yet, I'm still on GB, and I've been experiencing the periodic WiFi drops for the last couple of weeks.

I've noticed it mostly at home, where I have a Netgear router (N600). It even happens when my RAZR is "awake" and I'm using it. I can usually fix it by turning off the phone, powering down the modem, and then restarting both; once I had the RAZR "forget" the network and then I re-established the connection.

I can't find any rhyme or reason for when or why this happens---I never thought about the possibility of it being related to my Netgear router.

Is Netgear a common denominator for other people experiencing this issue?

I'll be the first to verify that Netgear is garbage. I actually bought another router just for that reason. Linksys or Cisco works flawlessly 24/7
