Wifi drives?

Hi all,

I upgraded from my much loved phone of 5 or so years, my Galaxy S8 to an S23 last month.

The thing I didn't like was no micro sd card support in newer models. I thought I would get a 512gb usb stick with usb-c instead for my pictures and videos but it seems really hard to insert so don't want to damage the usb-c port.

I considered maybe a wifi hard drive instead? For streaming media from it to the phone etc. When out and about?

Is that a good solution to the limited non-expandable storage?

Many thanks

I did not know such things exist. Had to look it up.

I do notice you don't get a lot of time on a charge, unless you plan to keep it plugged in a lot.

Still researching them at the moment, they tend to be called personal clouds as such, devices such as Amber and one called Skybox that seemed good but doesn't look like it succeeded into becoming widely available.
