Wifi Extender Netgear failed to work on my phone

Hello everyone and a Happy New Year.

I installed my Netgear dual band WIFI extender at my house but my Samsung Note 5 along with the Samsung Galaxy S4 fail to properly connect to it. The two iphones that we have (the 6 and the 5s) connect fine and people can use the extender like needed. However, my Note 5 phone along with the S4 says that it is connected but the webpages and internet fails to work. As soon as I connect directly to the modem/router, my phone wifi works like a charm.

Any ideas on this? Much appreciated.

Of course the iphone lovers are going to troll and say that I should have gotten the Iphone, blah blah blah. Haha this is not the case.

i have one in the house, worked fine till vzw went and fixed the tower near me after years of ********. Now the marginal 4G takes over and the extender seems useless.
