WIFI issues

I rooted my optimus v and my wifi wont work. It says 'unable to scan networks' ive tried apps to fix my wifi and they dont work. What do i do?

Do not Factory Reset, that will give you a headache of a bricked phone. How did you Root you phone?

Do NOT factory reset!! You will brick it and have quite an adventure getting it back.

How did you fix it, I just rooted to CyanogenMod7.2
and my wifi connects, then disconnects.
Never establishes a connection

I'm having the same issues. I'm tempted to get it replaced but I don't feel that best buy will give me a replacement. I do have insurance though

Have you flashed back to stock? Because im positive if your running cm7 its not a phone issue but software and user issue. Cm7 has had issues with certain routers.

The wifi issue is not specific to any ROM, phone, or router, or version of Android. You can resolve it by assigning a static IP to your phone from your routers configuration interface. There are other fixes, but assigning a static IP to your phones MAC address from the router should resolve the issue permanently.
