Wifi issues

Hi guys, have had a pretty great experience so far with my note 7. But today it's really been having issues with the wifi in the house. It never fully disconnects but the speed drops to a crawl. For comparison, my wife's note 5 is running just fine and speed tests are smooth and fast.

I've rebooted the phone, forgot the network and reconnected and it worked fine for 2 minutes and went to crap again.

What's causing this on my note7

Try putting the phone in Airplane mode and then switching it off. Or turning BT Off. Is it still happening? If so, try changing your router's transmission channel. If it's still happening, does it happen on different WiFi networks? If so, it might be the router that needs a firmware update.

Bt is off and I did the airplane mode trick first. It's smoothed out for now. Not sure why but worried

Not sure why either, but another user posted a similar problem with an S7 Edge and doing that worked, too. Hopefully it doesn't 'come back'.
