Hey Guys, I can not connect wi-fi and keep getting a "unable to scan for networks" message, After some googling, i came up with a solution to adb shell and delete a data file ( Support Unable to Scan for Networks - Android Forums ). I've only rooted via Gingerbreak and am perplexed as this is a new phone, I really don't feel as if I should have to put this much effort into it. This, plus the blue tint on the screen makes me happy I kept my receipt. Anyone else having WIFI problems and have a suggestion? Thanks.

My Triumph connects to free wifi, like at Starbucks, but I have not been able to get it to connect to my home secure network. My myTouch connects just fine, but not this Triumph, at least not yet.

Hmmm, don't know. Like I said, my used to be able to scan for and pick up many networks, now nothing. Doesnt sense any network, so problem is being unable to scan. I shouldnt have to spend 3 hours installing sdk manger, drivers, etc, to fix a new phone! Think Im taking it back tomorrow:-\

Have you tried factory reset and/or wipe SD card? I've done this many times and I am still having problems. My MT can see the networks and they attempt to connect but it just connects/disconnects every few seconds. I've tried every setting on my router I can think of. It's weird because my other phones, PCs and devices connect just fine.

Wiped and reformated. No factory reset yet, but, like I said , I shouldn't have to do all this on a 4 day old phone. Whats month, say 6, gonna be like then? Anyone think it was Gingerbreak?

I really don't know much about these phones, but it seems that the people complaining about their phones are the ones that have rooted, booted, and gingerbreaded their poor triumphs. Just my observations. My virgin virgin triumph works great.

Umm if you'll notice I was asking the person I quoted and stated Gingerbread, with a D

Mine has been rooted over a week now...
Ok, sorry, didnt notice the D. Yeah, Im not gingerbreaded but rooted, like you, so its a relief to hear your not having problems, thanks!:)

My 1st Triumph would not connect to my DHCP server. The server said, "received DISCOVER" over and over, but no "sending OFFER". I am filtering by MAC and reserving IP in DHCP with no encryption to speed things up. I use HTTPS for encryption. Anyway I double checked all settings. I brought the phone back to BB today... bought it yesterday. The 2nd Triumph connected first time like a champ. Also, no light leakage bellow the display. One other thing is that I discovered BB hat a Rocket silicone case for it on the shelf. A little expensive at $22, but a smoked clear and very nice fit... snug around the sides and very well matches the bevelled contour of the phone. The buttons are not cut out, but they are relieved in the silicone so they flex. Nice design.

yah mine is now doing the same.I cant find anything in the settings to help the problem. did you find a solution? other then just taking it in?? thanks.

Mine had the same problem but after dueing a factory reset it all worked.

First step I did was unrooted my phone using gingerbreak

Second step I did was factory rest/wipe data using CWM

Then re-rooted again and all went well from then on:)
