Question wifi not working

I have a Motorola G84 purchased in October. It was working well until about a week ago, but now will not connect to wifi, even when I restart it in safe mode. When I click to turn wifi on, it switches itself off again after a few seconds. Does not find any networks, including my home network. Is this a hardware fault?

Sounds like it is, but let's try to figure it out. First, can you run the device in Safe Mode? If that allows you to turn WiFi on, then you're good: the problem is software. If not, then it's VERY likely the issue is hardware. You can also run hardware diagnositc tests on your phone (I think the Motorola ones also come with 'secret codes' similar to Samsung's where you can test invidual blocks of hardware).

If that comes up the same, before I got really nervous about it, would be to do a factory reset. You never know, it could be a glitch in the software.

Thanks, I've already tried safe mode repeatedly. On a couple of occasions wifi came on, but not on most occasions. How do I find out about the 'secret codes' for Motorola?

it can be from power saving mode, some phones turn off wifi when power saving mode is on, since android lollipop

Yeah might be the best option besides a factory reset
