Wifi only . . .

Need some quick help. I am overseas without cell coverage but I can get wifi. What will work with my evo 4g. I am between flights and my laptop died so I am hoping for some quick help. I can't seem to get to the market for example . . .

Android Market is not available in all countries. Also, any Sprint-related services will not work (EX: Sprint TV). The internet and email should be fine, unless the network you are on is blocking that traffic.

fyi. you need to turn airpolane mode on. then go to the wifi widget and separtely turn that on. now you are connect by wifi only. email, internet work over wifi. text messaging sms ans mms do not

I tried that down in Quito with no success. I had to turn Airplane Mode to Off to receive data via Wi-Fi.

UPDATE: tried it at home and was successful. cool.
