WiFi or LTE?

Hi! Does anybody know if the GPRS works in the WiFi only version? Ie if I use the tab s6 as a satnav offline with a downloaded map, would it work properly? I realise it wouldn't get traffic updates. Also, would the calling and text function still work on the WiFi only version, if on the same WiFi network as the Samsung galaxy its Samsung account is shared with? Or is it only the LTE version that can do that?

Thanks 👍

Ian

Yes to all of the above: The WiFi version doesn't disable GPS nor the Continuity feature for Calls and Texts as long as you're in the same network/proximity to the tablet (I've had calls come through the tablet when not on the same network on a WiFi version because the paired phone was nearby).

So in some respects that kinda makes the LTE version redundant then. Other than needing to be connect to the Internet for traffic updates when using gps I guess?

Yeah, and the LTE version allows you to not need the phone at all. It's the convenience of mobile data VS tethered to a phone or needing WiFi.
