wifi problem

Hi. Just yesterday i bought my galaxy nexus phone and today i tried to connect to many different routers with and without passwords. my issue is that nomatter which connection i choose i always get "obtaining ip/saving" and nothing else. everybody else can connect so it's not a router problem but also just to note i have no access to these routers... what do i do???
