WiFi prompt

Is it just me, or do any of you get prompted to activate WiFi any time WiFi is detected even if you have the notification disabled???

There are ways to get rid of both the pop up notification and the constant notification in the notification pane. Also there is a mod posted on xda to get the wifi toggle back in the notification bar pull down.
