Hey guys,

At my job, they changed the wifi settings to force a specific DNS and static IP for all connections. Getting connected there wasn't a problem - i know how to do the advanced wifi settings. However, now I can't figure out how to get my phone to connect to other wifi spots without removing those settings. Is there a way to get those settings to stick to a specific wifi connection only instead of universal? I could easily be missing something somewhere, but I don't see it.

I'm running stock Gingerbread, not rooted.

Guess no one knows. Just curious - i don't have to use wifi at home. :)

The best I could offer is to check to see if there is a WiFi app or widget that can toggle between the two settings.

I wonder if you could use Tasker to configure your WIFI settings. If so, you certainly can use Tasker to change your WIFI connection when you move into or out of range of your regularly used WIFI hotspots.
