Hi,

I am new to the Android World and have come over from Blackberry. Love the new phone but I am having an issue that i can't solve.

I connect to several wifi business locations that have the same SSID name but have different passwords. In my Blackberry I was able to manually change the name of the wifi connection name for sorting purposes but not the connection infromation. (i.e. Home, The Docks, Front Street, etc.) That way if and when they change the password to one of the wifi locations it's easier to check each connection manually instead of having a list with 7 connections all showing the same SSID.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.:D

When your at the screen with all the networks listed, long press on the desired ssid and select modify network config. It should then let you change the name.

You need an App for that! Here's one that claims it can do it - WiFi Manager

Really? Have you actually tried that before you posted?

Really? Please post a screenshot...so we can see what you see, because I don't have that capability on my Note 3 running 4.4.2, nor on my other Note 3 running 4.3

Here's some screen shots

@ the OP. Instead of screwing around with this, just wait until the connection doesn't work at the site. It will give you an error - and you'll see which network it's trying to connect to.
