Wifi Tether w/root?

Has anyone been able to wifi tether through root yet?

I've had difficulty getting tethering to work on my friends RAZR.

Maybe try the same method the Bionic uses? Both devices are running similar software.

Download the latest experimental build of android-wifi-tether 3.1-pre101.

Under the settings menu change the device profile to motorola targa. Enable wifi encryption.

Works flawlessly on mine so far.
