wifi turns off and on every 5 minutes

I've been having this phone for 6 months and I have never had any problems with my WiFi until now. During the week, I turned on my WiFi and I wanted to go on the internet and surf the web. But while It was loading, my WiFi turned off for a good 5-10 seconds and then turned back on. It does this every 5 minutes.
It's been doing this since I updated. Please can anyone help me ? :/ and I also did the factory reset and it still turns off and on . Oh and its the HTC EVO 4G.

Your not the only one, its a bug with the newest update. If your rooted flash a 4.54 rom, otherwise your stuck waiting for a fix.

We know that there's an issue with the DHCP lease timers being set to infinite lease and our fix for this should make it into the next MR but that could change, our device group recommends you ensure your routers firmware is up to date and try to avoid infinite lease timers and/or static IP's until the next MR if you experience issues.

I tried this and turned off my ip reservation in my router for my evo and it seems to have fixed the issue.
