Wifi won't remember public hot spot

I frequent Starbucks daily and sometimes bring my iPad to work. I can't seem to figure out how to allow my phone to automatically connect to the wifi hotspot at Starbucks like my iPad does and my old iPhone did. It shows a wifi logo with a question mark asking me to sign in or what not. I have to click accept in their splash page and then bam. Are there settings to allow a known and previously connected hot spot to connect automatically? Thanks guys.

Thanks buddy. Will pop back into sbux today and see if it allows me to connect auto. Obviously the phone isn't connecting automatically to non secure networks HOWEVER, when I go to the gym it connects and it's a public hot spot. Very odd regarding the Starbucks thing.
