i just got my maxx on the 27th . I love this phone, and i only have one problem so for. My problem is this, when i turn on wifi this thing streams like no tomorrow, youtube videos starts and stops over and over again. I try to use wifi at home to watch videos and listen to music. my razr had no problems while on wifi , and neither does my wifes rezound. Does any one else have problems with wifi with their new motorola maxx.

no problem with the phone on various wifi networks. But i'm LMAO at this statement "when i turn on wifi this thing streams like no tomorrow, youtube videos starts and stops over and over again"

it streams like no tomorrow, eh?

I have been mainly on wifi without issue. Ran some download tests and it is comparable to other devices on the network.

The only problem I've had, and I had this problem with the Bionic as well is that if I have wifi on and there's a wifi signal that it's connected to but isn't getting good reception from, the phone won't get any signal. For example, I have wifi on at home, but if I leave it on when I get to work, it'll connect to my work router which it gets a very, very poor signal from so I end up with no internet at all instead of it automatically switching over to 4G. An even bigger problem with that is, that it'll kill my battery when it's struggling to find the signal all day. On my Bionic, my battery would last until about 3 or 4 in the afternoon. If I had the phone in my pocket I would notice because it would get so hot. I try to remember to just turn off WiFi if I'm going to be in an area with a bad signal or not in one area for any length of time. I hate sitting there waiting for a website to load only to remember that it's not the website it's the phone and as soon as I turn off wifi it'll connect just fine.

I've seen that on other phones as well, including my old thunderbolt. If my cable modem lost connection, my phone connected to it over wifi would just keep trying to load stuff without knowing to switch over to 4g. Definitely annoying, but maybe it's by design to avoid data overages maybe?

I came from a rezound and I feel like the WiFi is was way faster on the maxx. All other radios are similar to me
