Wifi is disconnecting automatically. It will scan, attempt to connect, then immediately disconnect? Tried rebooting the phone. Still nothing.

I notice there's a new open network in my area. Ever since this network has shown up, my wifi will not connect to my home wifi which is secured. Any suggestions or anyone with knowledge please advise me how to fix this. It routinely disconnects.

Try changing the channel on your wifi router. It could be interference from the other router (especially if you have an older router).

I've had this problem lots of times, since I live in an apartment building in a residential neighborhood in Manhattan, meaning there are almost 20 wireless routers in range of my computer as I type.

Edit: I just looked again, and now it's well over 50 networks. Geez...

Thanks, I will try that solution after work. I'm gonna be really bummed if this is an ongoing issue for me because I use wifi 100% of the time at home and how much would that suck of one of my two new neighbors mess up my wifi! Especially someone who isn't even smart enough to security enable their own network!

Just started having the same problem today, scanning...connecting... disconnected...scanning...
I have 2 remembered networks, mine which is secured and my girlfriends which is not. I have rebooted, have forgotten the network and tried to reconnect, there are no new networks showing up and I have not installed any new programs.
Any suggestions???

Do you have any other devices that connect to the wifi? (xbox, laptop, tablets)? If so, are they also having issues connecting? or is it just your DInc?

Connection was fine at girlfriends last night, still not working here at my apartment. I'll try shutting down and restarting my router, can't hurt...thanks
