Hi, everyone. I dropped my perfect D3 (grrr!) and had to get an insurance replacement. The screen quality on the new D3 was way worse, and the replacement for THAT one is no better.
Basically, all the pixels become really visible when you swipe between screens, scroll up or down, or even just move the phone a tiny bit. Everything suddenly looks jagged/fuzzy. Then, after a second of inactivity, it goes away and the screen looks crisp and clear again.
I'm 100% sure my original D3 didn't do that - in fact, it looked great! Weirder still, this problem doesn't happen for the first 5 minutes after a reboot. (So it's not just a "you either love-or-hate pentile screens" issue.)
Anyone else experiencing this? It just seems so odd to me. It's fairly subtle, and I was on the fence about asking the insurer for a replacement, because I didn't want to set everything up again. But since I did, I was surprised that the second phone they sent me had the same, um "feature."
There's at least 1 thread on the Motorola owners forum about this, and I stole that guy's description of the pixels "wiggling," because that's sort of what it looks like. I guess I'm just curious how widespread it is and whether people who do have this issue care or not. (Maybe I should just go outdoors and get some fresh air and stop staring at pixels?)
Thanks!
