Will a charging port flap cover on a Motorola G7 Play case damage the device while it's charging?

Will a charging port flap cover on a Motorola G7 Play case damage the device while it's charging? I have a Poetic case for my Motorola G7 Play and it has a charging port cover/flap that covers the port. When I plug the charger in the flap sort of pushed against the charging connector, will this at all damage the charging port?

Most likely not. It would depend on how much pressure it's exerting on the plug, but my guess is that the pressure is minimal

I've been using Otterbox Defenders for years, they push pretty hard against the connector. But if you're careful, and keep the flap away from the connector until it's fully seated, you shouldn't have any problem. (Trying to plug it in on an angle because the flap is in the way could cause damage.)
