will a droid turbo stay powered down on a wireless charger?

My droid turbo powers itself back up when I put it on my wireless charger

Re: will a droid turbo stay powered down on a wireless charger?

Welcome.
There may be a setting enabled that makes it come on when connected to a charger.
See if there is on in Settings.

It has to be powered on with wireless chafging in order to monitor the charge and stop charging when full.

Yes, doogald is correct. That is the only thing I don't like about it. I like to turn my phone off at night to charge but that can't be done as far as I know with the Qi.

It doesn't have to be - Motorola chose to design it that way. The charging circuit in the phone is separate from the phone itself. (My Note 3 stays powered off when charging, either through the microUSB port of the Qi receiver. So evidently it can be done with a Qi receiver, maybe not just with Motorola's Qi receiver.

Right, I'll clarify that I was talking about qi charging on the turbo. The phone will power on if it is turned off. As of now, at least, that behavior cannot be changed. It's possible a future upgrade could change that, but the Droid Maxx has been the same way since launch, so I suspect that Motorola will keep the turbo working the same way.
