My phone seems laggy and groggy. Not as fast as it used to be. Will a factory reset pep it up??
BTW, I am still on Froyo. Still too scared to update ;)

Try moving apps to your SD card. Close any unnecessary running apps. Clear you cashes as well.

After installing the Gingerbread update, no amount of resets and factory defaults would improve performance for me. But of course that's probably more a GB issue than anything.

If you still have not upgraded, then DON'T. Sprint is supposed to be shipping me a new EVO with Froyo still in place. Since they can't fix GB, they agreed to replace it.

Why would you want to keep your phone on a old version. Gingerbread is actually working great for me since the recent update. (Maintenance) Your phone maybe running slow because of applications you might be using. I would recommend doing a full reset & then update your phone version to the recent 2.3 gingerbread. Who knows, you might see better performance from your phone.

Best of luck.
Ps. I'm using gingerbread and I'm loving every moment of it.
