will a G4 leather back with tempered glass screen protector fit inside the Otterbox Defender case?

I have the Defender cases for my Galaxy Note 2/3/4/5. First thing I always do is pull of the Defender's built-in screen protector. I then place the Note phone with tempered glass screen protectors inside the case. Tight fight, but I never had an issue after 4 different Note phones.

My G4 with leather back is coming tomorrow. Again, I will put a tempered glass screen protector on it. I did read that the leather back can fit inside the Defender case, but very snugly. I'm wondering if the tempered glass screen protector will cause a problem. (after removing the Defender's own protector, of course)

Anyone tried this on their G4?

Thanks!

just a follow-up...

I haven't received my G4 yet. If the leather back can't fit into the Otterbox Defender, I suppose the easiest solution is to buy a regular white/black/grey battery door. Does anybody know where I can get a genuine one cheaply? Verizon's website lists it at $22.50(with my discount) Any places sells if for under $10 or something like that? :D

My phone came with both a leather back and a plastic back that fits under cases. You may be surprised and see two backs in your box

I cannot tell you about your exact scenario, but I fit a leather backed LG G4 into an Otterbox Commuter case without any issues. My guess would be that the Defender would be a similar scenario.

I'm a bit late on this post but my phone came with two back, One leather and one plastic.
About the case, I have an otterbox defender and it would not fit with the leather back it was also indicated on the box of the case that it was not compatible with the leather back.

agreed... I took a chance. It was "possible" to close the inner hard shell with the G4 leather back, but it was an EXTREMELY tight fit. Pretty sure if I left the G4 in there for weeks or months, there will be some damage to the screen glass or worse. I was very uncomfortable with placing the G4 under such conditions, so I returned the Defender case.

For me I wanted more protection than looks, so I kept the case and used the plastic back, anyway it's hiden by the case.
