Will an unlocked HTC Evo 4G LTE work on AT&T?

I am currently a Sprint customer, but my employer has a crazy good AT&T plan. I'm out of contract, so I could very cheaply and easily go to AT&T and get an HTC One X. However, I really like the Evo 4G LTE so much better.

Is it possible to just buy an unlocked Evo 4G LTE then take it to AT&T and use it?

No, they use incompatible networks.

I don't think that will work since AT&T uses HSPA+ and Sprint doesn't

So I guess AT&T's LTE isn't the same as Sprint's LTE.

Yes they use different frequencies and two different networks. Cdma and gsm are not compatible. Cdma doesn't use sim cards.
