I think I remember reading that AT&T's HSPA+ is technically not running. Is this true, and if so, when will we be seeing HSPA+speeds (whatever that means)?

My download speeds are consistently under 1 Mbps (I am in Long Island, NY). If the network is not going to improve soon I am going to return the phone.

Thanks!

From what Ive herd, there not live with that part of the networks backhaul yet. Not sure what that needs but once it goes into effect you will see better speeds. Supposed to be a couple of months.

Here is a quote from a 13 year AT&T rep on XDA.

I've only been doing this for 13yrs so you're probably right
There is nothing changing network wise after the backhaul that will have anything to do with these phones. The Atrix or Inspire are LTE compatible which will be the more true "4G" services. Those LTE devices will require the new "4G" sim.

I was also told the same exact thing from an AT&T rep I was on the phone for 30 minutes with. She was extremely helpful.

Samsung Captivate Faster

My Captivate is able to stream audio continuously, the Atrix is much faster when there is wifi but horribly slow with 3g, H+ or whatever ATT is foisting upon us.
Audio cuts in and out. Any suggestions on increasing speed when not on wifi? What a shame to have such a fast processor, but it then crawls on the 3g/H+ network.
