riends, adter i upgraded my non rooted htc m8 to lollipop i was getting error where my sd card was giving issues "sd removed unexpectedly". I tried everything including reset settings but issue persisted. i had also dropped my phone from 2 feet. i gave my phone to the repair center and now after 4 days they are telling me that they cannot refash the software to kitkat but they have identified some issues with lollipop and will be replacing the mother board of the phone! Is this correct, is there a need to replace the mother board and will it fix the issue with the phone? If the mother board is changed will it revert back to kitkat or stay on lollipop? pls help

Well... since the motherboard is basically the entire phone, save for the case and display, then it should fix your problem. It will have effectively replaced all of the parts that run the device and house the microSD card. Whether or not it is going to run Kit Kat or Lollipop will depend on what was loaded onto the motherboard. I haven't heard of Lollipop messing up the microSD card slot, but I could be wrong. I have the update but haven't installed it yet for other reasons.
