Will clearing Google Frameworks affect your notifications?

I read somewhere a day or two ago some Google engineer said it could screw up the play store. I did the framework trick to get 4.4 with no issue, thank goodness.

Since clearing the framework I have reset the device to factory settings but before that, YouTube and the Play Store were slow to load.

The clearing of the framework messed up a few of my app notifications. The one I rely on the most day to day is my Verizon Messages app, and it screwed up those notifications. I uninstalled then reinstalled the app...not sure if that fixed the prob yet. Man I do not want to do a factory reset and re-due all my various app settings.

I'm just going to wait for the update next time but I have yet to use it after the reset so I don't know if it fixed the problem.

I just listened to a Pocketnow Podcast and one of the guys was talking about this issue. He mentioned that you can delete your user(s) profile off the device and then add it back in to fix it. That sounds much easier than a factory reset to me.....if it works.

I clears the Google frameworks data and cleared the cache to get 4.4 but then I read the Google advises not to do it because it might cause notifications errors. Dont clear framework data to force Android 44 KitKat update advises Google engineer

The only issue I've run into is that I have to go back into my Google settings and enable Location again. This messes with Android Device Manager for sure. I'm not sure if it messes with anything else nor do I know if it will mess up any other apps. Nothing else on my tablet has had any adverse effects for me.

Since resetting the device the Google Play Store is show to load images and YouTube is so slow is virtually unusable. Don't know if it has to do with Kit Kat or the deleting of Google framework.
