Due to Corona and Asia hit hard will it cause a delay in the development and release of the Note 20?

I'm sure that the Note 20 is more or less ready for production anyway, what they might be doing though is to cut back on the good stuff to save money so it will be just a small iterative upgrade

too early to say, who know, they could even push it back further because of its price thanks to the lacklustre sales of the s20 variants and the camera issues.

seriously? this is what you're worried about right now? worry about your work, your life, your money lol

I mean, it's a valid question. It's a tech forum to discuss tech related topics including delayed releases. I agree it shouldn't be the top of what's on everyone's minds, but iirc blues makes his money selling phone accessories.

Most likely it will, as of right Now T-Mobile and Sprint and Verizon 80% of them has shut down due to coronavirus, AT&T will stay open as employees will work from there houses.

Also for people who ordered the S20 lines they are all gonna be on hold no deliveries at all looks like till late August.

Plus, sometimes users come to Android Central to try and take their minds off of those pressing matters. I know I do! Maybe thinking about phone releases is a way some people choose to cope. As a tech and phone enthusiast, I can't say that's a bad strategy. :)

I agree. You can only be bombarded with so much news. This just in, its really bad, and it will have a ripple effect for a long time. At this point we all know what to do to try and protect yourself. I like to read forums, watch tv (other than the news), listen to music, to escape from it.

With that being said. I would say yes. The price is expected to be high. Even if the virus is under control by normal release time, the world economy will be in shambles. Unless they pull features and make it cheaper, I just don't see what releasing it in August will do.

Then again, I could be wrong.

Not allowed to take a little break from time to time? Can't control my work. I do what I can to stay safe. Money will be fine unless my work shuts down, which again, I have no control over.

So Let people escape and think about other things for a little bit. The coronapocolypse will be there in 30 minutes when I'm done reading forums, watching TV, listening to music, or whatever you do to escape for a bit.

Probably same as the s20 line up or little more for the price?

Yea, I dunno what the price will be. But the Trump checks might be rolling out within the next couple months and members here will be ready to fork it over including me!

If the economy really gets wrecked over the next few months and such I do really think they could possibly skip it this year. Not nix it just skip it due to just too much stuff going on. Sales would super tank if people can't spend $1400 on a device. It would be a waste of money on Samsung's part to produce and develop it and horrible sales. So yea, I guess I'd bow down and buy an S20 Ultra when it gets cheaper.

Or they could release it later in the fall around the iPhone 11s release as well to compete with that more. That is a more likely outcome I think, release it in Oct.

If the economy is tanked I would consider releasing it the following year the same time as the S line and just do once a year.

And yes, I sell mobile phone accessories. Last weekend at the fleamarket here in FL my sales were down nearly 60 percent from the weekend before and March is usually a good month. I'm hurting pretty bad if this keeps up. My sales last week were more like an July weekend when it's slow.

Oh and I did order a few S20 line cases that just came in. I got the generic Defender cases and MAN is the S20 Ultra a HUGE phone!! Wow. granted this is a defender case but still. The Note 20 if there is one is going to be MASSIVE. Even the S20 Plus seems big.

So the Note 20 will be pretty huge almost to the point it might be hard fitting in the pocket with a decent case on it. I wish they'd make them flat screen and wider but a little shorter.
