Will Droid TV or GTV work without a satellite or cable provider using only phone data ?

I am in a remote area without good phone service but on the other side of my land is good service and data, I walk over there to use the phone and load my apps daily for fresh news/weather updates. I just installed Droid tv app for my phone but will that work without cable or satellite provider ?

Welcome to Android Central! From what I can tell in the app description, DroidTV relies only on your internet connection. So if you have a decent mobile data signal, it should continue working. Just be aware that you might consume a lot of mobile data if you use it a lot.
