Will I ever see these photos again.

I decided to back up the last years worth of photos on my galaxy samsung ace 4. I did this by transfering them from the internal memory to the sd card. All the files became now only a few KB and unviewable from within the phone or on the laptop that I then transfered them to. Essentially the process has seemingly destroyed the last years worth of photos of my son. Thanks Samsung.

Did you move the files to your SD card or copy them to your SD card?
If you copied the files, they might still be on your device somewhere. If you moved them, the SD card could have been corrupt and you may have lost the pictures.
