Will I receive a Marshmallow update on the 2013 Moto X about to purchase? My carrier is AT&T.

Hi,
I have heard, AT&T does not update older phones?
I have viewed so many great reviews on this phone, but they never
mentioned, it stopped at Lolipop, if you have AT&T.

I look forward to a reply.
