I'm a little confused. I know the device is unlocked and can be used with pretty much any GSM carrier, I have AT&T but according to Google Play Store info on the Nexus 5, it's only supporting Sprint and T-Mobile? Can I get AT&T LTE off of it?

Yes it does. I think their LTE runs on band 4 & 17 which is supported.

I think the carrier listing on there are the carriers that will sell the nexus 5 in their stores.

I wondered this also after I saw the specs. I just assumed it would work on At&t because all nexus phones I've had have. They are still updating their site so all the information may not be there.

Yes it will. Sprint and T-Mobile are just the two carriers that will also carry the device in-store

I am wondering the same thing. It lists the 17 LTE band, but I thought AT&T also used the 700 band. It does not list the 700 band.

According to wiki the 17 band is the 700Mhz band.

The AT&T G2 is listed as operating on LTE bands 2, 4, 5 and 17. The Nexus 5 also lists all of those bands.

Do you think you'll have to call into at&t to get a dummy imei so you get the correct data package like we had to do with the nexus 4? Which was a pain.

Will we have to manually fill out the APN or will it automatically recognize that is AT&T and have the right APN?

Only if you are not currently on an ATT LTE plan. If you are just swap the SIM.

I cannot remember with my Nexus 4. But on my S4 Google Edition, it was automatic on LTE.

What about att other lte band ?

That's band 4. AT&T uses this band in only a few markets. Most of their LTE network operates on band 17, and this is what the majority of their customers use.

Thanks. Last time I had to do that, it was horrible. I was switching from iPhone 4 to Nexus 4 and they just didn't get it and wouldn't give me a dummy IMEI. Something about it wasn't an AT&T phone they wouldn't do it for me.I never really got the HSPA+ on the Nexus 4, always just HSPA. So this is why I haven't ordered the Nexus 5 yet because I don't want to have to go though this all over again and them telling me that they won't do it.

Should I still order the Nexus 5?
