Will Maxx fit in Car Dock with Silicone Cover

Can anyone confirm that Droid Razr Maxx will fit in the official Vehicle Navigation Dock with the Verizon High Gloss Silicone Cover on? Am I better off buying the Navigation Dock for the regular Razr and removing the insert or the one made for the Razr Maxx? Or are they essentially the same thing? Thanks for your help.

I can't speak to a silicone cover BUT I cannot get my Razr MAXX to fit with the Motorola holster cover which I assume is even thinner. The car dock is a very precise fit - no wiggle room at all.

Well no thanks to all you people, I had to actually get off my couch, leave the comfort of my home and conduct my own testing. The Droid Razr Maxx with high gloss silicone cover does NOT fit in into the Maxx Navigation Dock that they sell in Verizon. But I bought the Navigation Vehicle Dock from Best Buy for the regular Droid Razr (red and white box 89525N) and the Razr Maxx with silicone cover will fit in that after removing the insert. You just have to push in the USB side of the phone and insert the usb plug first before pushing in the other side. And this dock is a much better deal since for the same $40 they also throw in the rapid vehicle charger and the combo audio/USB cable.

Sorry. Just saw the post and no. You must be a naked Maxx to fit in the car dock. They put the removable insert in the Razr docl. Not sure why it's not in the Maxx dock.

I wish I had done what you did...I was told the Maxx would not work with the regular Razr dock so I got the Maxx dock. It says on the box that it works with the case on. No it does not! At least not with the silicone case from Verizon. Thankfully it is easy enough to remove but I was hoping not to have to deal with that. Now my dilemma is what case to get to replace that yukky silicone one...it has to be easy to take on and off...any suggestions? I was looking at the Cruzer Lite if anyone has any xp with that one would love to hear.
