Nowadays, there are many flashlight apps for cell phone, this kind of flashlights are also bright, but can it replace the traditional flashlight? I think it is bright enough for most tasks in daily life, but not enough for outdoor activity such as a camping trip, therefore a professional flashlight is necessary for outdoor activity. How do you think ?

Yeah. I can too use em for something or the other, but I don't think they'll be of any use in the real world. Those LEDs are just too small to be of any help in the wild.

The rule of two

I was once told "Always have two combs, if you only have one you will lose it but if you have two you seem to never lose one". I kind of apply that concept to most critical things.

I always carry two sources of illumination (keychain flashlight and phone), two ways to open a beer bottle (Swiss Army Knife and a key chain bottle opener), and two knives (SAK and key chain SAK), two ways to start a fire, etc.

While using the LED in a phone is handy to have as a backup, I'll always carry my little key chain flashlight.
