Will PdaNet/Foxfi wireless tethering work for Sprint Samsung S4 non-rooted?

A nice workaround If you wish to take it this far, if you can get USB tethering to work and a Windows 7 or up computer (they are the easiest. you CAN do it with XP, it just takes a degree lol), just turn on internet sharing and plug your network card into the "internet" portion of a wireless router. IT should broadcast as if it was hooked to DSL. I have done this MANY times with a PAID tether account, have yet to try it with PDAnet, however I will be in the future.

It will not. I battled with this over and over last summer.FoxFi Devices The only way to get a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 to share it's data connection is to replace two files, and it must be rooted. Those files are system/framework/services.jar and services.odex with the ones from this MF9HotspotMod-Odexed.zip | MF9HotspotMod-Odexed.zip | by crawrj for Galaxy S4 zip. Download the zip onto your phone not your computer then extract them using ROM Toolbox Lite https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolbox&token=kcvyWP2N. Move the original files to wherever you want or rename them then copy the two new files to that directory.

I use mine via bluetooth connection all the time, Foxfi on G4 and PDANet in tablet/laptop. Not rooted either!

junefabrics is where i found it for my sprint s6 edge.
I used this excellent service for years with my Galaxy 4 (Team Mobile)

but now with a Galaxy 7 + Sprint, after numerous attempts I failed.
Please help...
(Laptop is Toshiba with Windows 8).

More details:
I'm desperate to get it back working since most of the time I am somewhere without Internet connections available for my laptop, and much of my work cannot be accomplished using only my Galaxy 7 Sprint phone, and/or hotels I frequently stay at charge $22.99 a day for a hi-speed internet connection for my laptop (Toshiba, Windows 8).
I had a paid version with June Fabrics pdanet on my prior laptop + phone G-4, but when they were lost/stolen because I could not remember what email I used originally, I've been trying to install + connect with a new free version.
