Will price drop on M8 now that M9 has been released?

Not asking for links to sale websites etc - just wondering if there's a history of HTC to drop the price of older models when updated versions are released.. and if so, about how long would you say?

Reason I asked is that the camera on my M7 just completely broke so I'd like to replace with the M8 but don't want to buy at the wrong time if folks expect a pretty substantial drop once M9 starts shipping.

Appreciate any tips.

I would expect prices on the M8 to drop within 30 days of when the M9 ships.

thanks, that's what i figured.. amazing how much you rely on your camera but i will try to hold out for a bit longer.

unlocked directly from HTC is only 499

I saw on Sprint today that M8 price on contract is free now.
