Will Sony Xperia Z receive 4.4 update in future?

Hey guys, Am gonna buy Xperia Z over Xperia ZL very soon, Though 4.2 is already out and 4.3 may hit at the end of Nov. I would like to experience Android's most expected 4.4 in my Xperia Z, But the thing is, I have seen people in internet saying Sony Xperia Z's last update will be 4.3...How true is this you think....:-\

We're never sure which devices will be upgraded. Rule of thumb is that manufacturers will announce possible updates to devices shortly after announcement of a new OS

Need not to be as fast as HTC when it comes to updates, Atleast SONY should take time to offer upgrades...

I wouldn't hold your breath.

My Sony Xperia S Tablet (which was launched around September 2012) got one update to 4.1.1 earlier this year and that was it. I believe the purchasers of the previous tablet (the Tablet S) were also treated very shoddily and didn't get a Jelly Bean update at all. I certainly wouldn't consider buying another Sony Tablet in future.

Nope, Sony Xperia Z is surely not going to get the KitKat update. However Kitkat update over S3 and Note 2 will come by December!
