Will the hands free ability from Moto X be available for regular Nexus devices?

I was just wondering if we would be able to get all the nifty features that the moto x has such as the new notification method, voice commands (i.e. Ok Google Now, etc) and all that stuff for regular nexus devices? Perhaps what the moto x has might even be Android 5.0? I dont know but what do you guys think? More likely less likely for nexus, non moto x devices, be able to get it too?

Great question. I'd lean towards not very likely, but trying to guess what Google will do about specific things is not an easy game to play. I know I definitely would want the active screen and voice interface, but not sure how dependent they are on the extra processors. I'm sure that someone will make ROMs with the features if Google doesn't, but they might not be as cleanly executed out of the box.

Correct, the Moto X has a couple of low power processors to take care of listening and showing just part of the screen while the device is asleep. Unfortunately that means Nexus devices built before now do not have the hardware required to do that without large battery drainage.
