Will the Incipio Dual Pro case protect the side of the screen on a Galxy Note 9?

I ordered a Note 9 and while waiting for it to come in I am trying to choose a case that offers good protection but isn't too big (like the Otterbox Defender). I have had the Incipio Dual Pro on iPhones and really like the look/size/feel but want my Note 9 protected.

Kinda-sorta, but with a curved edge, even a steel safe isn't guaranteed. (The edge gets heated to almost white hot, then gets bent around a form. Then it has to be properly annealed to keep it from cracking. And most screens have at least a few molecules that didn't anneal properly, so tapping the back of the phone on a table could cause a crack.) But the Otterbox is the definitive protection. (I've had a phone hurled at a wall, screen-first. No big deal - in an Otterbox.)
