I noticed that the Moto pure USA model lacks 3 lte bands that the s6 carrier models have.

Sprint 800 mhz (b26) - currently deployed spectrum
AT&T 700MHz (b29) - future deployment
AT&T 2300mhz(b30) - currently being deployed this summer

Motorola did update their Pure Edition specs page, and added in some bands that were missing from the original specs:

GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz)
CDMA (800, 850, 1900 MHz)
4G LTE (B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 38, 41)

Can't say I blame them for not making the radio more complicated by adding bands for spectrum that's not even [widely] deployed yet like 29 and 30.

It won't for me since it looks like it will work just fine with T-Mobile :).

Where I live, in West Virginia, we tend to get these newer bands a few years after the major markets so it isn't a concern for me at all. Others in the rural US are probably in the same boat.

Plus I can always just switch carriers......

Nope. But I'm on Verizon. :)
