Will The One's aluminum case limit Sprint service quality?

Sprint's service is inhibited by physical barriers like buildings, and there were (possibly apocryphal or entirely nonsanguine) complaints about aluminum bodied iPhones having signal issues with Sprint. Will this be a problem for Sprint users? I know there is a plastic band on the phone to allow signal pass-through, but will it be adequate? I see there will be a review of the Sprint device will be posted soon, but does anyone know what effect if any we should expect from an aluminum case?

All for HTC One, HTC One for all? - Sprint 4G Rollout Updates

This article says no. They say that the antenna tuning that has been done will help this phone have exceptionally good reception.

Thanks. I had seen most of this information; I was kind of looking for more hands-on or information that's not filtered through marketing and/ or using the preproduction or European versions of the phone. Specifically, whether the width of the plastic is adequate, etc. Thanks though.

Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a good way to benchmark this, or most people that review phones live in dense cities and don't really notice the kinds of things that some of us in more rural areas live with every day. I've been looking quite a bit for this kind of thing also, maybe Anandtech will have some kind of review of the sprint and ATT (Maybe Tmobile) release handsets and compare them. There are myriad problems with this kind of benchmark.

I did see that qualcomm has removed the key sequence that shows cellular data at the chipset level for about the last year. That would have been useful.

True. It's a quirk of Sprint's service, and it's got me just a little nervous.

I live in Slidell (in the New Orleans market, but not the city) that has been announced as "rolling out" LTE, and I have an OG EVO, so I don't know what LTE is like around my house. I'll probably move back inside the city soon, so the conditions there will differ again. My wife gets excellent AT&T LTE service here, in what I consider to be the country.

Thanks again.
