Will the S8 be the best smarthone?

That's a very subjective question. It depends on preference. I switched from my Note 7 to Pixel XL to iPhone 7 Plus to a regular iPhone 7. I kept going down in terms of spec, but I found what I thought was the best for me. And, phone manufacturers are always trying to one-up each other every year, so even if it does have the most features, it won't last for long. The Note 8 will be released, and maybe Google or OnePlus has something special to introduce.

For now, yeah. But it won't be later this year with the Note 8 coming out, the iPhone 8 (or 7S, or whatever they decide to call it), and the Pixel 2.

The best phone is the one that best fits what you need and want in a phone. These threads on whether the S8 will best the iPhone 8, or will the S8 be the best phones are really kind if silly.

When I choose a phone I think about how I use my phone and which phone best meets those requirements in a manner that works best in my environment and how and where I use my phone. I have the S7 and I like it for the most part, but I also have a Pixel XL and each have their strong points. I tried an iPhone 6s about a year and a half ago and found it to be a fast, efficient and we'll built phone, but iTunes was a total non-starter for me and I had to return it.

I don't have anything for or against any brand or OS and will go with whatever suits me at any given time.

Obviously the "best phone" is debatable and very subjective​. No one phone meets the needs and wants of everyone. Next year we'll have another round of new phones packed with even better technology and we'll be asking the same question again.

iphone 8? will be great sure but the smaller size will put many off
