Will phone lines be replaced with wireless data eventually? Probably, sadly.

Why sadly? Real life example: the emergence of mobile technologies has totally connected Africa within 15 years, whereas physical phone line technology took 130 years to connect 0,001% of Africa...

Be good to hear an expert view. Personally I think we will turn against wireless data in the future when negative effects emerge.

Every technology has its down sides.

Telepathic communication is really scary. I'll be in the ground by then - but maybe still annoying people :)

No, you got that wrong: telepathic communication happens now. All the time. Always has. Ask any faith healer. Hell, ask any hard-core fundie of any religion. They – and there's millions upon millions of them – will swear god speaks to them all the time! Even, or especially, from a scientific POV that huge amount of testimony cannot be ignored.
Of course testimony couldn't be farther from evidence. :D

So what about ISP blocking Snapchat, Facebook, kik and things will that ever happen?

Not if that ISP wants a lawsuit. The probability of this happening is low. So stop worrying. If you want to worry, at least worry about something more important...

Would the really get a lawsuit though? Like is it likely that even in the future that am ISP will block something that a lot of people use like Facebook and Snapchat and things? That would make a lot of people mad.

This would be the only way to know for sure.

Honestly ahawkua... you worry a little to much I think. I highly doubt they'd block Facebook or snapshot or anything.. Simply because there is no reason. All it would do is cause massive negative news, angry customers, and government attention. There really is no reason to worry about something that won't happen since they really gain nothing from it.

So it'll probably not happen? Wait wouldn't they like lose money if that happened?

They're doing it now!
Go have a look in Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, Turkey. What happens there, can happen here. And according to Murphy's Law: if [inappropriate language removed by moderator] go wrong, it will.
And what about the thousands of apps that Apple and Google ban from their app stores? Or the thousands of books that bookstores ban from their shelves?
Controlling the dissemination of information is with us and around us all the time. Look at TV stations: if they don't want some issue to be focussed on in the public debate they simply don't run the item on air. They willfully ignore it. "Killing the story" (if successful).

I've told you before that it probably it won't happen and my answer hasn't changed in the last 5 minutes. They probably would lose money in the process, so yes.

There is no basis for it to happen. At the end of the day though you can't really stop them from it anyway. So what are you so worried about?
