I don't understand why Verizon can't get the Nexus experince. I know it has iphone now and is mostly on the "drrroid" lines of android phones but I would bet more then just myself would be interested in getting a google nexus device with big red.
I love Verizon and my droid x but I would love to have it straight from Google. No bloat, updates first and a top of the line, dual core processor. Oh, and make sure it has at least
a battery of 1950mah or higher.

Is there any chance this will ever happen? I just got on a family plan and now am pretty much stuck on it so with verizon and would love such a phone. What do all think?

I wish they would too. They were supposed to at one point, then that idea fizzled out of existence. With the relationship that Verizon and Google has, you would think that a Nexus phone would be a given. Only time will tell.

Meanwhile people with an upgrade available like myself are only left to wonder when it will happen.its a good thing I like my x because I don't have to upgrade to another device.

Short Answer:
I doubt verizon will EVER let a nexus device on their network. That is too much control out of their hands.

Remember, Verizon even got APPLE to fragment their update cycle (Verizon phones are a version behind when it comes to OS). How do you think they would react if they had a device they couldn't control, since updates were pushed OTA?

yea bmx was talking about this and had sources high up in Verizon that stated executives decided that there wasnt enough interest in the nexus line to bring a phone to Verizon! Now every android nut i know wants a nexus on Big Red so my only opinion is that they cant stand the thought of not being able to stuff all phones with 100 lbs of city id, vz navigator, nfl, and other useless crap.
