Anyone know how long it should take.
I left the Windows 10 window showing it was at stage 2, downloading, all evening and all night, though if I clicked on Show Progress (or something) nothing showed.

Next day I went to Control Panel (W7) - System - Check Updates (or something) and it said Windows 10 is available to download, so here I went again.

It showed a Preparing screen for a few hours, and I left it this morning having shown the moving downloading bar for several hours.

Data is always on. I know it's 3gb apparently.

I may get home to find its done but it's nearly three days.

Sorry but I couldn't be bothered :) to try oher forums. I'm shy, and even Windows Central may not like me.

Anyone with similar issues?

Also there are several threads where Android drivers aren't working with Windows 10 for now.

It took about an hour to download and install. I don't understand your comment about data on - isn't this a PC connected to your WiFi?

I meant there was no Interruption, I have separate data tethering rather than wifi with very good speeds.

It took around 18 hours to decide it failed. I will try later.

Thanks. I would imagine to the pc it's just wifi and the update window wasn't displaying correctly, but I don't know.
I have 100gb for 2 months on a fast service.
Anyway it's all OK now. I tried again while watching athletics at 2am and it downloaded all again in about 15 minutes it seemed.
It wouldn't accept my simple 5 same digit password for 20 minutes, I tried the US as opposed to a UK keyboard layout that worked on a reset before, but it's working now.
Not a big fan after a few hours, never having Windows 8. Edge freezes and loses bookmarks I had imported from IE, but it will grow on me I'm sure.:)

Thanks for the link.
(I see what you mean. I'll leave that setting off for now)

My download was quick, but it took two tries. I like Windows 10, having previously been on 8 with the Classic Shell workaround. But I don't use any of the Microsoft features - after years of everything on Google and Chrome, I just don't see the point of changing. Google & Chrome run great on Windows 10.

Yeh. I had Chrome on it. It seems to run better. (Firefox also which I only used for 2 sites).
I preferred IE but it was technically way behind apparently.
Everything is slow to load atm. Downloaded some apps I had as bookmarks.

I was signing in to Microsoft anyway.
Now Microsoft and Google are watching my every move , lol.
