Windshield mounts

Hello everyone,
I tend to use my phone as a GPS when driving long distances/travelling out of town (waze is an amazing app), recently I upgraded to the Edge and my windshield mount no longer fits my phone as it is too large for the cradle. I am looking to purchase a new one to fit the Edge and leave the edge screen accessible.
In my search I have come across the Akron SM679 (I cannot post links since my post count is low so please either Google it or reference the photo). It looks decent enough, but before I spend $20 on a mount id like to see what everyone else is using.

Personally I prefer to use my phone in portrait mode because it allows me to see more of the road ahead on the map when navigating. Will this mount allow you to rotate the phone to portrait?
