Is there a way to reduce the volume when I am using a wired headset on a call with my OS? I have the volume turned all the way down and I still have to dangle the earpieces over my ears so that they are BY my ears, but not in them. I'm rooted and have 11-28 Gelato and the Ginger kernel on my phone. The volume is just right without using the headset for a call.
On a side note, with my OV with CM7, the headset volume was just right and the phone was too loud - while on the lowest setting. (It sounded like I was using the speakerphone, or almost.)
I did just buy a Koss VC20 Volume Control from Amazon as a quick fix. It's a volume control that I can plug into my phone and then plug my headset into.
I thought I'd ask you guys if there was a way to fix this with my phone itself before I start on a quest to find a headset with a volume control that works as nice as my current one (which I have a set at home, in my car, in my purse, and at work plus two spares). I only paid $2.49 each for them, but they had sounded SO GOOD for me and my callers. (They are now $11 something each.)
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there's a way to turned down the headset volume in the phone itself. I did try several volume apps, but they seem to only work for turning the volume UP.
