I wonder how long before third parties stat selling the charger and discounting it. I'd consider it if it were less than $20 and then only because it eliminates wear and tear on the mini USB circuit board traces.

I had the same issue when i first got it; try turning off Wireless Display under Settings -> Display -> Wireless Display. This worked for me, went from 97% to full charge. Also make sure you have it placed on the charger on the correct spot as shown in the user guide for the charger, the induction coil does not seem to be very big. Mine filed to charge past 35% when I put it on the charger too high up one time.

It's gonna charge until 100%, give it some times. I have one, and it does charge to 100

I charge my N4 in three places - mains charger at home, car charger and via a USB lead from my work PC.

I just don't see why people get excited about wireless chargers. I've been charging our toothbrushes that way for over ten years.

Mine charges to 100% on the wireless charger. I just checked it now after being on all night.

If you just leave it on there for a long time, it might show less than 100% fairly often as it shuts itself off once fully charged and then not back on until it drops to a certain level. If you pick it up and put it back down often enough under 100%, it will probably force a charge back to 100% more often.

Re: NEW wireless charger for nexus 4

I'm curious, does the new Nexus 4 Qi charger work with the Bumper on the Nexus 4? And how long does it take to re-charge from 50% ?

Never mind, I'll answer my own post. Received the Google Wireless Charger for the Nexus 4 today. Works with the Bumper on the phone, no problem. Seem charge quickly, but will test that further when I'm down below 50% and clock the time needed.

BUYER BEWARE: Only one design flaw, and it's kinda big. The Charger has no adhesive on the base, so you need two hands to separate the Nexus 4 from the charger! Duh, Seriously Google?? You'd think for $60 Google would have the charger designed to stay on a desktop when you need to pickup the phone. Even Palm figured that out with their Touchstone charger. I guess Google will push out an update for their charger in six months or so. I might just have to return this in the 15 day window..

Guess I need to find some double-thick tape to nail this thing down.

Does anybody know if the wireless charger still works if you have a skin on the back of your nexus? I have a dbrand carbon fiber skin and need to know if it works with the wireless charger.

I have the seidio convert case and it charges through that. I can't see any reason why a skin would stop it from charging.

Re: NEW wireless charger for nexus 4

I'm using a Skinomi skin and this new overpriced Google Wireless Charger which has no problem with charging thru the skin and with the Bumper installed.

At this point I'm not encountering any heat or any warmth on the Nexus 4 while on the charger or after removal. Though I going to qualify that by saying I haven't put it on the charger overnight. I'm rarely down below 50% during a day, (Juice Defender Plus), so I'm charging it for about 2.5 hrs in the morning to get to 100%. That's as fast as the travel charger.
