Wireless Charging and Regular Charging at the same time?

As you can see in the title does anyone know what would happen if i put my nexus 5 on the wireless charger and plug it into the wall at the same time? Will it charge faster or would my phone explode?

I tried that the other day when I got my wireless charger just to see what it would do and the wireless charger would not activate while the phone was charging with the plugin charger.

Why would you use both? It would probably damage the battery if you managed to do it.

Just wondering what would happen because it would be cool if you could use both at the same time.
